[Digital Download Version] The Tranisistor Radio of St Narcissus was composed by Tim Souster, and this recording presents John Wallace (flugelhon) and Andrew Powell (live electronics and tape) in full glory of the work.More recently the work was used in he 2019 blockbuster film release of ‘Bolden’. A drama directed by Dan Pritzker, which imagines the compelling, powerful and tragic journey of Buddy Bolden, the unsung American hero who invented Jazz.
This track is also available as part of a complete CD album – Michael’s Farewell – which also features other works from Andrew Powell, Roger Smalley and Karlheinz Stockhausen. The CD has since been reclaimed from the Deux-Elles label and brought under The Wallace Collection label, and Michael’s Farewell is now available to purchase through this shop
